Meet The Oils

Tonix Oil is made up of three organic oils and 0% else! Each of these ancient oils are: first pressed, cold pressed, organic, wildcrafted, fair trade, and non-GMO. Tonix Oil contains no added colours, preservatives, or fragrances.

SEA BUCKTHORN

Sea Buckthorn Tree

Sea buckthorn is a bush that produces a bright berry filled with an amazing oil. It is hand-picked, wildcrafted and organic. Wildcrafted simply means it is harvested off the tree where it naturally grows.

Found in the Himalayas and Europe, it has been used for thousands of years and can be traced back through ancient text as long ago as the days of Genghis Khan. It is believed that Genghis and his gang would use sea buckthorn oil to shine their horses before going to fight, or as we would say in today's terms: gangsters pimping their steeds. Who doesn't want to show off some shine?

With 12 times more Vitamin C than oranges, 4 times more superoxides than ginseng, 3 times more Vitamin A than carrots, and the same amount of Vitamin E as in wheat germ, it's also the only plant source that contains Omega 3, 6, 9, and 7.

MARULA

Marula Tree

In its natural environment the marula fruit is quite the intoxicating party flavour – few animals can resist partaking in its delight. When a tree is harvested only for its lumber, it is a one-time profit. But when a tree is harvested for its fruits, nuts and berries, it is an investment that will allow the native people to live in their homelands… and it also protects the homes of the country’s diverse and drunken wildlife.

Tonix Oil only features fair trade, organic, wildcrafted oils in its blend. You get to use cold pressed, first pressed virgin oils. No chemicals or heat are used in any part of the oil extraction process.

Contains Vitamins E and C, phosphorus and essential flavonoids to promote healthy hair.

BAOBAB

Baobab Tree

Also known as the ‘upside-down tree' due to the thick trunk protruding from the earth and branches that look more like roots – its other name, the 'Tree of Life', comes from the many benefits of having a Baobab as a neighbour. Materials, ropes and other fibres can be made from the bark.

It can also nourish you with fruit, provide shelter as a home… or in one case a pub! If the rains don't come, you can tap it for water. It is known to hold and store in its trunk as much as 100,000 litres (or 26,000 US gallons) to endure the harsh drought conditions particular to its native region. It has also been established through carbon dating that the Baobab can live for up to 6,000 years.
